WAAS Congratulates the China-US Summit: May Agricultural Cooperation Illuminate a Shared Future
September 24, 2026
The world is undergoing profound changes, and major countries are moving toward each other. On the occasion of the state visit of Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, to the United States at the invitation of President Donald Trump, the World Academy of Agricultural Sciences sincerely wishes this China-US summit every success.
As major countries in the world, China and the United States shoulder the historic responsibility to stabilize global order and safeguard the common well-being of humanity. Food security is the cornerstone of world peace, and agricultural cooperation serves as a bond for mutual learning between civilizations. We hope the two countries will uphold the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation, conduct candid dialogue, manage differences, build consensus in global food governance, green agricultural transition, poverty reduction and development, and jointly address global challenges including climate change and food crises.
May this summit bring greater certainty to China-US relations, shed light of peace on a turbulent world, advance the sustainable development of global agrifood systems, benefit peoples of all nations, and jointly protect the enduring homeland of humanity.
